Getting There
Dookie is a town surrounded by rolling hills in Victoria’s north, approximately 221km from Melbourne, and 30km from Shepparton, it’s largest regional neighbour.
Allow 2.5 hours travel from Melbourne by car via the Hume Fwy and Goulburn Valley Hwys. The festival site is a short stroll from the centre of the township at the Dookie Quarry, on Baldock St.
About Dookie
Nestled between rolling hills and farmland in northeast Victoria, Dookie is a quiet town with a big heart.
Surrounded by vineyards, walking tracks, wide-open skies and fresh air, it’s a haven for artists, hikers, cyclists and anyone seeking a slow-paced escape.
The landscape is dotted with granite boulders, golden paddocks and has a bunch of cute cafes, vintage shops and, of course, events at the Dookie quarry to keep you excited.
The town has become a sweet tourism destination and is an ideal stopover for ongoing tours further northeast, or the alpine region.

Access and Parking
If you’re driving to Grounded, car parking is available at the Dookie Recreational Centre, just a short stroll from the Quarry.
This area is managed by the local CFA, who will be accepting gold coin donations on the day.
Alternatively, you can park in the Dookie township, which is only a 9-minute walk from the venue.
Festival Bus Shuttle
To make things even easier (and a little more eco-friendly), we recommend jumping on one of our festival shuttle buses from nearby regional towns.
Buses will be running from both Shepparton and Benalla, and you can purchase a shuttle pass when you purchase your Grounded ticket.
Shepparton Shuttle Bus:
Departs from the Shepparton Library between 2.45pm - 3.15pm, and returning at the end of the night.
Benalla Shuttle Bus:
Exact details for the Benalla gang will be announced shortly.
